Movie Review by Seth
August 16th, 2005

Some people complain that there are no new ideas in Hollywood. Surrounded by movies made from tv shows, comic books, and other movies, it's not hard to agree. That is why Charlie Kaufman and this movie are so amazing. They are amazingly new and unique. Nothing is stolen from anyone/anything else and nothing is regurgitated.

But aside from being unique, this story is just plain good. It will make you think, it will make you remember bits of your life, especially those that involved strong emotions with other people. Carrey shows he can act and Winslet shows she can be a convincing American.

The acting, plot, writing, and cinematography are all top notch. If you haven't seen this movie yet, do yourself a favor.

Ah, yes. Kaufman is an original. But bear in mind that being an original doesn't always equal that your work is good.

Seriously, ADAPTATION? One of the most over-rated films out there. Chris Cooper was its only redeeming factor.
