Movie Review by Emily
February 7th, 2007

This almost heart breaking film about a film having to deal with a tragedy that no family should have to face, yet many do, was a truly good experience watching. Emile Hirsch did an excellent job playing a teenager who was forced with having to over come this experience, and experimenting with new things. Sigourney Weaver was splendid in the role of a mother trying to figure out how to be young again, and what to do with herself in light of the recent events, and Jeff Daniels have an almost tear jerking preformance as a father just not sure what to do with himself and his life anymore.

This was a truly touching movie, and while it was a sad film, it was inspiring, and touching. I would say that it lacked only in the fact that it did the same thing that most films do in terms of experiments in drugs and alcohol. However, it was far better then most other films that I have seen lately, and I would definately put it at the top of my reccomendation list, that is, if you can handle the disturbing nature of it, and especially if you are fond of independant films.
