What out for German prostutes...

(Warning: there will be spoilers)

As a female boxer you can imagine my excitement when I heard that a movie about women's boxing was being made and it was to include Lucia Rijker one of my boxing idols. So as soon as the movie hit the cinema of I went husband in tow in hopes of seeing a movie with a rockyesque ending and show my husband the positive uplifting side of women's boxing. Everything was going great, Hilary was putting on a great performance (she really knows how to play white trash) and Clint was awesome as her coach...and I'm watching all smiles as she's setting up to face Lucia Rijker, I can almost feel the rocky moment coming as I'm perched on the edge of my seat. But nooooo she hits her head and ends up paralyzed...yeah great that totally reassured my husband.

Even though I was hoping for a happy rocky type ending this movie was great, Clint Eastwood did a beautiful job directing, and the fight scene were very realistic. I would recommend this movie to anyone, however if you were interested in women's boxing I'd direct you to the documentary film Shadow boxer also starring Lucia Rijker.

Well don't look like a pillock.......sorry about the title, I so need to stop typing when I'm on the phone or maybe it's too many hits in the head.

This movie delivers in a way that is quite unexpected. I think that's what I like best about Eastwood, he really has a knack for some great endings.
