Closer was a great movie. It can be hard at times, but hard in a good way. Hard because if you are human and you ever been in love and then met someone who caught more than your eye, you will get to re-live all of those difficult feelings all over again. At first, I found the honesty and bluntness of the characters refreshing, but by the end, I remembered just how destructive such unrestrained honesty can become in the wrong hands. That can be a painful lesson to have to learn again and again in the flesh, so you are getting your wisdom cheap for a nine dollar movie ticket. That the actors could pull off something lesson-worthy with this complex a subject is impressive.
