An innovative premise that gets old right quick.
To start: animated movies should be 90 minutes or less. That is a rule that should not be broken.
Next: too much action. We get it. The supers get stymied. The supers figure out a way to work together to release each other. They get caught up again. They wiggle out of it again. Catch, release, catch, release. Didn't Tom and Jerry already make their million on that one?
Add: some cliche "family humor" like sibling rivalry, a clueless babysitter, and the trite husband-missed-the-exit-on-the highway routine. Blah, blah. Everybody loves Raymond.
I know: to knock down Pixar is an act of heresy. So original! The animation! And it's all digital! Whatever, dude. Put a bunch of computer nerds in a mecca of machines and it's no surprise that they can make movies like THE INCREDIBLES. That's not incredible at all.
But I will say this: I like that the mom has a big tush.
