Foxx's Triumph

It is a true testament to a performance when you completely forget about an actor playing a part and get swept into believing that it really is that person you are watching. Angela Bassett did it in 'What's Love Got To Do With It?', Judy Davis did it in 'Me and My Shadows: Life with Judy Garland' and Jamie Foxx does in in 'Ray'. The film itself is good but without a solid ending, Kerry Washington is finally back from who knows where after her great work in 'Save The Last Dance' and the amazing Regina King finally gets a part to showcase her talents. Ray Charles led an amazing life and his hardships and triumphs get their due in this biopic. I was only disappointed in the strange choice of ending and the fact that they didn't go further into his life.

As far as the Oscars that year: I wanted to see a win for Jamie Foxx as Best Actor, no one could compete. I also wanted to see a nomination for Regina King for Best Supporting Actress, she deserved it.
