Movie Review by Miles
February 3rd, 2005

It occurred to me very early on in watching this film that it was meant to be watched on a great big screen and savored for its amazing shots. The whole movie is punctured by the empty feeling you get walking through a big city late at night - it feels like an eerie run-down cathedral. On top of that, the story is fine - perhaps the only average part of the movie. But, its structuring in small chapters is very entertaining. At any rate, it is the great performances that make what happen matter.

Cruise's Vincent is truly scary and Foxx's Max is incredibly human. All of the supporting actors are convincing, and I especially love the character in the bar scene where Foxx has to pretend...well go see the movie.

And, of course, the action is really cool.
