Adding another 5 star rating to the pile

SHAUN OF THE DEAD is a fun and funny zombie flick. It's got a likeable lead character, an even more likeable buddy character and a girlfriend who is a pain in the ass and yet turns out to be - you guessed it! - likeable as well.

The thing that sets SHAUN apart from the rest of the zombie movies isn't that it's funny. It's that in addition to playing out as being a great flesh-eating and step-father-killing movie, it's also excellent social satire.

As Shaun wakes up from his night out drinking after Liz has dumped him he wanders through the streets in his typical zombie pattern. The fact that the world has become drooling idiots in search of brains to munch on doesn't settle in for quite some time. Why? Because we're all zombies in our waking day-to-day lives.

I mean, I could just be a sucker for the accents. I've been known to become infatuated with them in the past.

This is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen (along with Monty Python). I guess the British humour is funnier to me than American
