Movie Review by Zara
November 18th, 2007

Kate Bosworth cast as a cute little thing. Topher Grace cast as the buddy who pines for her and eventually woos her precious little heart. Josh Duhamel as the charming, shallow and utterly harmless "bad" guy who steps in and whisks the little cutie away.

This movie is your average, no surprises romantic comedy with a few things that keep it a little more palatable than most. One is Kathryn Hahn, first brought to my attention when I watched her on a couple of episodes of "Crossing Jordan." (She's also a good side player in HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS.) As the pseudo gritty bartender who has a thing for nerdy Grace, she's the only thing that gives the movie a little bit of a bite on the ass.

I also - go ahead, shoot me - liked the part where Paris Hilton arrives on Duhamel's backyard via jumping out of a plane. Completely unrealistic in how she's wearing the skimpy outfit, but a cute little moment nonetheless.
