Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie
March 21st, 2007

Oh you Frat Pack!

This movie is a great satire on the anchormen of the 1970's. Though it sometimes tries too hard to be meta and kitschy, it is ultimately really funny.

Christina Applegate could be the Angie Dickinson or Shirley Maclaine of the Frat Pack. That one gal who can go toe-to-toe with the boys, while also being really hot. She is great as Veronica Morningstar.

But this is a boy's game and boy do they love playing it. Paul Rudd is sensational as the over-confident cologne-obsessed reporter and Steve Carrell brings the funny as the incredibly stupid weatherman, while David Koechner (a terribly under-estimated comedian) kills as the brazen sports-reporter.

But this is Ferrell's flick. Conversing with his dog, playing the jazz flute, the moustache.

A good time, but a little short of great.
