Having fun in Mooseport, wish you were here.
For some reason I enjoy certain films just for the fun of it all. I am talking about movies I just play constantly in the background. Something about them appeals to me. Welcome to Mooseport is absolutely one of them. Call it the draw of the small town in Maine. Call it the the great acting of the legendary Gene Hackman or the comic fun of Everybody Loves Ray Ramano. I also love the premise of a former President running for a local race and getting caught up in the campaign as much as a national race. I don't know.
I just love the fun of this movie. When I first saw it in the theater I didn't care for it too much. Maybe I just needed to put it on repeat a hundred times on the dvd player before I really felt like a Mooseportian.
