Im not a huge fan of movies with long drawn out battle scenes, and as much as Troy may seem to be one of those kind of movies, its not. There are a lot of movies with the same plot line, but this one is pretty original, it sticks to the story, but at the same time we get a whole different perspective on the characters. The character of Achilles(Brad Pitt)inspires esteem and sympathy, he was a complicated and double sided character. I was also glad they picked Orlando Bloon to play a whimp(hes good at it).
The characters may have been real and well acted, but i have to say, none of them looked the least bit Greek, and almost all of them had British accents. On top of all that i have bought Troy, and enjoy watching it.

| The best thing about this movie was Brad Pitts body.... as for the British accents maybe they just realized that the Brits are far more superior than the Greeks ;) |
