Movie Review by B Movie Ben
March 15th, 2007

Every man's dream

In the interest of full disclosure, I will admit up front that I
automatically give extra credit to any film with Nicole Kidman. I think
she is worth watching no matter how bad the film actually is. This one
wasn't that bad. It held my interest mainly because of Kidman and some
other great characters.

Bette Midler played a great role as a bohemian writer with a little boy
husband (Jon Lovitz). Lovitz was funny as he represented all the
husbands who just wanted to be waited upon as they played games. I
recall someone saying that if our wives were not around, we would all
be in boxer shorts, smoking cigars, and watching football. The men in
this movie were pretty close. They were all married to strong women and
just couldn't deal with it. Too bad! Let's make them robots.

Matthew Broderick was cool as Kidman's husband, and Christopher Walken,
well he plays weird characters well, as he did here. The ending was a
huge surprise, and everything made perfect sense.

Great line about Conneticut. Wish I could remember it.
