Movie Review by BillyBob
June 23rd, 2010

Now, this was one brutal (and I do mean "brutal") movie. But, with that said, it was also a curiously fascinating film, as well.

Without question, it was CHARLIZE THERON's rough'n'raw, no-holds-barred portrayal of AILEEN WUORNOS that utterly astounds the viewer in MONSTER.

MONSTER is an incredibly dark and disturbing tale based on the true story of the emotionally-scarred AILEEN WUORNOS.

Already a prostitute at the age of 13, WUORNOS, in her mid-40s, became a notorious "highway hooker" and then began murdering her "clients".

This film focuses in on a 9 month period of time between 1989-1990 when AILEEN murdered a total of 7 men, shooting all of her victims at least 5 times each, both in the head and the torso. WUORNOS claimed that she shot these men in self-defence because they were trying to rape her.

MONSTER movie-trivia -

CHARLIZE THERON gained 30 pounds for her role as AILEEN WUORNOS.

The word "fukk" is spoken 189 times in this film. (I wonder which movie holds the world record for how many times the word "fukk" is used in its dialogue?)

It use to be "Goodfellas" but i'm sure some films past the amount of swearing that was in that by now.

Hey Martin -

There's actually a film out there called "F-U-C-K". It's included in this website's database. Get this - The word "fukk" comes up 857 times in this film. This film is some kind of documentary on the history of the word "fukk".

So, I'd say, that at 857 times, that about beats out every other film for this sort of profanity, wouldn't you agree?
