One of the Best Natural Destruction Movies
The Day After Tomorrow Movie Review
Critique:
Director: Roland Emmerich
Actors: Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Emmy Rossum
Rated PG-13: For Intense Situations of Peril
Name of Review: One of the Best Natural Destruction Movies Ever
When global warming triggers the onset of a new Ice Age, tornadoes flatten Los Angeles, a tidal wave engulfs New York City and the entire Northern Hemisphere begins to freeze solid. Now, climatologist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid), his son Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal) and a small band of survivors must ride out the growing super storm and stay alive in the face of an enemy more powerful and relentless than any they've ever encountered: Mother Nature!
The Day After Tomorrow has good Acting, good Directing, Magnificent Special Effects, and great Writing. Let's start off with the overall best aspect of the movie, The Special Effects. The Special Effects has a very big role in a movie like this and I do believe that these Special Effects are truly just unbelievable and just plain awesome they did a very good job. My personal favorite part was when the tornados hit LA that part was just spectacular! The second best aspect was probably the writing, like with the Special Effects I believe that a movie like this must have great Writing and Acting and this movie definitely has both. I believe that Dennis Quaid did a fantastic job as a struggling dad with a super busy schedule and don't forget about Jake Gyllenhaal which did a great job as the guy who just wanted to help people as much as he possible could have and he was basically the smart one of his little group of people, and you can not forget about Emmy Rossum which is just one unbelievably outstanding actress on the rise she chooses her scripts very well.
Overall this is probably one of the best natural destruction films in a very long time and if you like Jake or Dennis you'll like The Day After Tomorrow
Also I know not all the information about the weather in the film is correct but it's nice to see a movie mainly for the special effects once in a while
