Movie Review by River
July 15th, 2006

Jennifer Aniston doesn't give her best performance in this romantic comedy (definitely not on par with that she gave in "Bruce Almighty"), and she continually comes across as though she is trying too hard, while Ben Stiller offers his usual gags and slapstick. The ever-funny Jack Black also takes on a small role, making an ideal sidekick to Stiller.

The story drags on in parts with repeated attempts at spicy food jokes, among others, but has a few surprises along the way. Although it is pretty obvious what the conclusion will be, it is still an amusing and entertaining movie.

Don't be mislead with the quote on the DVD stating that it anything like "Friends" or "There's Something About Mary" - because it's like neither.

I love this movie ... Philip Seymour Hoffman is what makes this movie so funny.
