A High Octane, Terrifying, Disturbing Horror Film

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Movie Review

Director: Marcus Nispel

Actors: Jessica Biel, R. Lee Ermey, and Andrew Bryniarski

Rated R: For Strong Horror Violence/Gore, Language, and Drug Content

This remake of the 1974 horror classic follows five 20-somethings who find themselves stranded in a small Texas town, where they encounter a chainsaw-wielding maniac known as Leatherface. The killer has spent years sawing people up and constructing masks out of his victims' skin, with everyone in the town looking the other way. With no one to help them, the outsiders must find a way to escape before meeting a grisly death.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a perfect example of what a Horror film remake should be. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has Magnificent Acting, Great Directing, Great Special Effects, and Great Writing. The Acting in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the films best aspect; you have the outstanding Acting talents of Jessica Biel, who is just phenomenal, outstanding, and magnificent as Erin the main character, the emotion she shows in the film has you rotting for her to kick Leatherface's ass and you actually want her to live in the end of the film. Ms. Biel also makes you know she is not a damsel in distress she's here to live and nothing else. Andrew Bryniarski does an outstanding job as Mr. Leatherface; he makes the part what it should be sad, angry, and scary as hell. Everybody else in the film did a great job but those to stand out the most to myself. The Writing of the film is its second best aspect, the writer does a great job of making you feel how the characters feel and the emotions they show throughout the film, the writer also made you feel somewhat bad for Leatherface in one part of the film, but that soon changed when the chainsaw came out. I think a couple of things that also made the film so good is that it never dives into comedy; it only gets more and more intense. What also helped was the great cinematography, production design and sound. The movie goes from a nice drive on the road to a gloomy setting and equally gloomy characters. The sets were perfect for adding suspense and for them to be chased by Leatherface. The music and noises will have you jumping out of your seat several times. I believe that this is an utterly terrifying thrill ride of true horror and basically a horror masterpiece.

Overall If You Like Terrifying Horror Films or Jessica Biel You'll Love This High Octane, Pulse Pounding, Utterly Disturbing and Terrifying Horror Film for the Ages

Don't get c*cky with me sunshine ...and Jamie lee Curtis was a way better scream queen (but that didn't make her a great actress) all Jessica Biel f*cking did was run around with no f*ckin bra on jigglin her girls.

Ok yea Jamie was good
i just liked Jessic ok?
and yes i did notice she had no bra on and that was quite stupid it didn't do anything for me

why should we make such a fuss over something that doesn't need to be fussed about?
like I said before you have ur opinions and I have mine

This movie is laudable for being petty and mean. A Hollywood movie, playing in theaters nationwide, takes a big risk by shoving the audience's face in sh*t. I greatly enjoyed the film. Not because of any talent on anyone's part (though I do love Jessica Biel in a wet wife-beater), but because it confronted and assaulted me. I would give it a comfortable four stars.

PS: I love how the software parses out the vowel in c*cky. Does it do the same for wee-wee and doody?
