Movie Review by Zara
March 12th, 2007

OK, now this one, I liked

The characters are established, the costumes are cooler and Halle was fitted with a better wig. I say GAME ON!

The main reason why I liked this version so much better is because of some of the newer characters added. I was actually quite sad when I found out that Nightcrawler, the very cool dude who moves in whispers of black smoke was not going to be in the next movie. Alan c*mming has been one of my favorite actors since I first saw him in CIRCLE OF FRIENDS, and he adds a great deal of weight to this film with his quotes about how he feels sorry for the non-mutated people.

The other cool addition was Kelly Hu, the female version of Wolverine, her claws really talons. It's as if Wolverine is the Cadillac of the breed and she's the Porsche. In the end you know that the Cadillac is going to hold up better in a car crash when faced with a Porsche, but dammit, that Porsche is fun to watch speed down the highway, ain't it?

More Mystique is always better and I even could get behind Iceman, even though I was later told that Rogue actually had a cooler boyfriend in Gambit. Eh, non-mutants can't be choosers.
