Movie Review by Zara
August 6th, 2007

"You have a nice chin..."

Another one of those ensemble movies where you have a lot of really good actors basically just being average people going through average things in their lives and yet looking extraordinary because they're so relatable and doing things that we wish we could accomplish.

That sounds so pompous. This is a quiet movie about quiet people, aside from Bobby Cannavale, an actor mainly known for his roles on television shows, who you feel for if you've ever worked a boring job and been even a fraction of an extrovert. He's not the only good person here, as Patricia Clarkson rules the roost as a woman whose young son has died in an accident.

But it is the magnificent Peter Dinklage who the movie focuses around. For being considered so unique and extraordinary based simply on his stature, he is surprised for the attention that he received since he considers himself to be a very boring and simple man with simple needs and very few wants. By the end of the movie you're very aware that he's a dwarf and yet you've completely forgotten about it at the same time.

Great movie if you like stuff like GARDEN STATE. Which, yeah... I do.
