One Star added for McDormand

I can't believe I thought this movie would be entertaining for me. The previews showcased it as being a movie that was a standard comedy, something that almost ( I stress almost because I completely understand that it was geared towards women) everyone could appreciate.

Yeah, not the case. I need to wait until my AARP card shows up in the mail and then watch this again and see if my opinion has changed.

If you can't relate to it because you're under the age of dirt, there are only two other reasons to watch the movie. The first is Frances McDormand, a great actress who always adds some welcome weight to a flick. The second is to see Diane Keaton naked. For a woman in her 60's, she looks f*cking fantastic. Of course, I can also throw the mommy b*tch in there and say that it's only because she's never given birth to any kids.

Anyhow, the movie is too long, too long winded and just too.... too. It doesn't seem to understand how to quit when things are good. Perhaps just like certain actors don't know when to stop thinking that they're viable leads in movies. But then again, I'm still waiting on that AARP card. My opinion may very well change in their favor in the future.

Sadly, in the not so distant future.

I can't believe we have such different opinions of this flick...maybe I'm an old lady trapped in an almost 25 year old's body...weird.
