One Great Fantastic Comedy
School of Rock Movie Review
Director: Richard Linklater
Actors: Jack Black, Joan Cusack, and Mike White
Rated PG-13: For Crude and Sex-Related Humor, Language and Drug References
Dewey Finn (Jack Black) just got fired from his own rock band. To make matters worse, his roommate (Mike White) is being hounded by his girlfriend (Sarah Silverman) to get Dewey to cough up the rent money he owes. What's a guy to do? In this case, Dewey pretends to be his roommate to make some extra bucks substitute-teaching. Over the course of several weeks, he takes a class of private-school students and molds them into a rockin' band.
School of Rock has Great Acting, Good Directing, Special Effects, and Great Writing. The best aspect of this hilarious comedy is definitely the Acting, Jack Black does another wonderful job but he always does a wonderful job in comedies. Joan Cusack being probably the funniest character in the movie does a magnificent job as the Principle from "hell" or what she seems to think her character is like; she's just a very talented and gifted actress. The second best aspect is probably the Writing, the writer of this film must have been a genius this film is just plain and simple hilarious thanks to him. The Directing was also very good.
Overall if you like Jack Black or Joan Cusack you'll love this wonderful comedy
