Movie Review by Misty
April 27th, 2007

Is that my Katie down there!? Is that my daughter?

Now he's directing too!

This movie was pretty good...
My sister was stunned that I didn't cry, but I didn't feel that it was all that tear provoking.

It's about three friends who get caught writing thier names in some cement when they're kids. A man catches them and takes one of the boys away. Apparently that boy gets locked up somewhere for a while and has to escape, but by the time he escapes he's so traumatized that he comes out a different person.

Then it jumps to their adult lives when all three come back together in very different ways, because of the death of one of their daughters. It's got crazy parts that make you think one thing and then there's a twist here and a twist there and it's never what you thought it was going to be.

A pretty good flick that I recommend you to see if you haven't already.

This movie broke my f*cking heart. I loved it, but don't think I could ever watch it again.

PS: The first film Eastwood directed was Play Misty For Me, back in 1971. He has since directed almost as many movies as he has acted in. Don't make me have to write a column...
