Love Actually (2003)

A Cast Of Millions...But It Works
I love me a quirky Brit com, and you add Xmas with Hugh Grant and stir in a little Bill Nighy singing? I am so there.
Martin Freeman is a sex scene stand in, Chiwetel Ejiofor is there, Emma Thompson cries along to a Joni Mitchell song.
There are few movies that are so specifically designed for me to love them, but Colin Firth being befuddled by language, and Alan Rickman in anything turns my crank. Oh! And Laura Linney, how great is she?
Yes there are a lot (A LOT) of cast members, but I never found myself overwhelmed and that is a testament to the genius of Richard Curtis, as well as the cast who own their roles so well you don't have a problem keeping them straight.
Love it, a weird holiday classic right up there with 'The Ref'!
