Movie Review by Chris

Big, But Slow

It was very difficult for me to watch Return of The King for the first time. The movie spans over 3 hours, and theres a lot of dialogue. The action is huge and there are some memorable scenes (Gandolf killing the dragon things in the field) but it is slow. Of course I watched the 2 disc extended version of the movie, maybe thats why.

The acting keeps up in the third and final film in the trilogy. Elijah Wood still gives us his Oscar Winning Performance as Frodo Banks. He has not lost his character at all and he is still very believable. Orlando Bloom gives us the best performance I have seen yet from him, playing as Legolas. Viggo Mortenson keeps the amazing performance looking good.

The action is literally huge. We get the most spectacular visual effects I have seen in a movie in a long time. The movie is slow, but the action is jaw dropping. The extended version is totally slower, but the action includes more then what we saw in the theatrical cut of the movie.

Bottom Line: WOW
