Asa fan of Tolkien's book, I was somewhat frustrated by the film in and of itself (though it is still amazing). But, considering the trilogy to be complete, The Lord of the Rings is undoubtedly one of the greatest films of 2003 or, in fact, of at least the past three years. Waiting for each installment was better than Christmas for a child. They did the absolute best that could have been expected with this massive material.
