Give me Jodie Foster any day

A remake of a classic Disney flick, the movie does get better for Jamie Lee Curtis but suffers from Lindsay Lohan. Many of the people who watched this movie at the time were claiming that it was really good. It's not. It's average at best.

Answer me this, if you haven't watched this movie since it was originally released, how much of it do you really remember? Hell, I haven't watched the original version starring Jodie Foster since I was a teenager and I STILL remember scenes from that movie. That's the problem with the remake. In trying to modernize it, they made it too much like all of the other vehicles that Disney currently puts out.

I will give props to Curtis who is clearly having a blast in the role. I also love that they have Bowling For Soup's version of Britney Spears' "Hit Me Baby," on the soundtrack. I also hate this movie because it was the one that kicked off the Lohan is fat campaign and made her a central figure in all those gossip rags. Shut up about it already!

I have to agree about Jaime Lee Curtis...she is definately having a blast in this flick. But I have to disagree about Lohan...I loved that girl in this movie. I loved her kick ass band and her crush on oh, what's-his-f*ck, her teen rebellous thing, and her eventual understanding and caring. I don't know why, but I just love this movie...I just watched it again a week or two ago with my sister (who has that song her band plays memorized by the way). We had fun watching it! I wish lindsay hadn't listened to any of that crap about her being fat, because I adore her back then...she just went down hill from there. Although, it does look like she's trying to care about herself again here recently. :)
