This movie took some adjusting, on my part, before I was really able to enjoy it. I had to accept the fact that no part of this movie was meant to appear natural or real. This movie is very stylized and a bit over the top.
I am not a huge fan of Zelleweger, but she did a good job. I felt she took it too far at some points, and she has always appeared a bit uncomfortable in her skin, regardless of the role. However, she still entertained me.
Ewan McGregor was perfect. He almost plays the player, too perfectly, it does make you wonder. But his eyes are so beautiful, that you know how he can make any woman fall in love with him. There is something almost childlike in them, at least in this movie.
Don't watch this movie hoping to have it change the way you look at the world, or even hoping to get something deep out of it, because quite frankly, you won't find it. However, I highly advise this movie for pure entertainment.
