Lars von Trier just keeps getting better; with this, his latest masterpiece, he manages to outdo the brilliance of his two previous films (Dancer in the Dark and Breaking the Waves) while working with the subject matter that made these films so great. Yet Dogville leaves us with more hope for its central pariah, in a conclusion that should shock even the most jaded filmgoer. SEE THIS MOVIE! It is one of my favorites of all time.
