Hate me all you want

Go ahead. I know you want to. Hate me for enjoying this movie.

People love to talk about how DAREDEVIL was supposedly this god-awful flick, a horrible bastardization of the comic book, blah blah blah. It's important that I point out that I'm not a comic book fan. It's not that I hate them, it's that I've never really read any outside of Vasquez's work. So I didn't know the backstory on the character of Daredevil or any of the other character other than what the movie told me about them.

Sure, there are weak points in the film. Ben constantly looking smug seems to be the biggest one. However, I see why he and Garner eventually got married. The chemistry between them in intense and I would have to say that their initial fight scene is my favorite scene in the whole movie.

This is also one of the only times that I enjoyed Colin Ferrell. Allowed to use his natural accent and just act out like the sh*thead that he later proved himself to be in real life, he is outstanding as Bullseye, a criminal whose main claim to fame is being able to throw just about anything and zero in on the heart of it.

I think people are far too hard on a movie that never had lofty aspirations. This wasn't a movie meant to change the world. Just a film that they hoped they could turn into another franchise. Damn. Why you gotta be hatin' on people for wanting to make money?

First time I watched this movie I really didn't like it, but I gave it another chance and liked it more the second go round.

I hated it the first few times I watched it, but my boyfriend is a big big comic dork, so we just bought the Director's Cut. Totally different, and much better movie.
