Angels in America (2003)

Epic TV
A beautiful TV miniseries about AIDS, love, death, religion, tragedy and relationships.
This is an epic experience that takes us through AIDS in America unlike any other film or TV show.
The cast is amazing, Meryl Streep plays multiple roles, Emma Thompson is goddess-like, Justin Kirk breaks your heart, Mary-Louise Parker is just nutty enough, Al Pacino is a hard-ass jerk-off you learn to at least appreciate.
Few directors have the balls of Mike Nichols to take on such a huge subject and huge Broadway hit, but he pulls it off.
Sometimes it is a little too weepy and self-important, but the message is so much bigger than that. This is a crucial commentary on a society that would rather ignore this disease that continues to prevail.

| I HAVE to finish this film. I watched half of it and never got around to the second part. |
