Movie Review by Zara
June 29th, 2009

I've watched a lot of Greek frat movies in my time. Some have been good, some have been bad, some have been so silly and stupid and lame that they're pretty amusing.

This is one of the rare cases where the movie doesn't push the limits of the realm of frat possibilities, instead giving you an infinitely likable lead character played by and infinitely likable Ryan Reynolds and then disappointing you when they CLERKS 2 the character later in the film and have him deny his entire persona by falling for Tara Reid and deciding to finish up with college.

The main part of the movie which is funny is the introduction of Kal Penn to the movies, leading to his status as Kumar in his own set of movies as well as a spin-off from this film. (With more disastrous results.) Other than that the wild parts are too tame for a National Lampoon movie, resulting in sub par fare which would make John Belushi bluster in his grave.
