Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie
March 21st, 2007

Igby Wishes He Was Holden

A modern 'catcher in the rye' type tale of snotty upper classes, their snotty offspring and the sexual tension between them all.

This film has a great performance by Keiran Culkin as the titual Igby. We follow him through his whining and desperation. He is a great anti-hero, just like Holden.

Though this cannot live up to the Salinger from which it steals, it is a pretty good attempt with great work by Jeff Goldblum, Susan Sarandon and Amanda Peet.

Worth a look.
