Movie Review by B Movie Ben
April 23rd, 2007

Happy Birthday Michael

Well, here we go again. over 30 students and faculty gunned down at Virginia Tech and we will again see numerous editorials about how film and music contributed to the violence and little on how the numerous guns that we possess make these things so easy. The fact that our politicians are in the pocket of the NRA is so obvious by the fact that the majority of Americans believe that we should control the proliferation of these weapons that are easily obtained. The real weapons of mass destruction can be bought at any of the numerous gun shows in this country and at the biggest gun dealer in the country - Wal-Mart.

Michael Moore makes a documentary and the world takes notice. He is a master of using humor and satire to show us our foibles and the despicable love of money over life that pervades our government. He deserved ever award that he received for this film and it needs to be seen over and over to remind us of just how un-humane we are.

This is not a feel-good movie, but a mirror in which each of us has to reflect on whether we are part of the problem or part of the solution. Until we get a control on guns in this country, it is ridiculous to have the State Department issue warning for American travelers going overseas. The real danger in the World is going to school in America.
