Movie Review by Valerie
December 15th, 2006

Best Screenwriter's Movie

Granted, maybe this movie is more appealing to people who actually work or dedicate to screenwriting, but nonetheless, it's a brilliant film.

One of the finest scripts ever written, thanks to Oscar-winner Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind), this movie follows depressed screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage) as he tries to adapt the book The Orchid Thief by Susan Orlean (Meryl Streep) into a movie script.

The book narrates the adventures of John Laroche (Chris Cooper, who won an Oscar for this performance), an amazing and eccentric character with a dozen stories to tell.

Excellent performances, great dialogue and a true touch of human emotion.
