Man As Boy
I was not expecting to love this film at much as I did.
Hugh Grant plays a man living off the success of his father's one hit wonder Christmas favorite, content in his solo single life when he comes up with the brilliant idea of wooing single moms because they have lower self-esteem.
Due to various circumstances he ends up befriending a young boy with a suicidal mom (Toni Collette in hippie perfection), and discovers more from that friendship than a whole life of meaningless sex and self-absorption.
Grant is c*cky and great in his role, matched by Rachel Weisz as his love interest and the great Toni Collette as the mom in pain.
A keeper.
