Movie Review by Zara
May 13th, 2007

Since Ben did Number 3...

I was not a fan of the first outing of this franchise. Scream itself started off as being a riff on the silly nature of teen slasher horror flicks, so the concept of there being a parody on a movie that was a joke to begin with seemed a little pointless to me.

But there's something that this installment has that the first didn't. A really cool cast. From David Cross as the guy in the wheelchair who can orally satisfy himself (hey, I'm easily amused) to Kathleen Robertson, best known as Clare on 90210 (although I prefer to think of her in Araki's SPLENDOR) is absolutely gorgeous.

Topping it off you've got Tori Spelling willing to make fun of herself. I don't care what people have to say about that girl, I think she's more than sufficiently shown that she has a good sense of humour about who she is, what work she's done and where she comes from. You've got to give the girl props for that.

So, yeah. It's a stupid movie but it's the best of the stupid movies that were made. Mainly due to cast.

Ok, ok... SOLELY due to cast.

You forgot to mention Tim Curry which I thought was great in this film.....there is some really good deleted scenes with him that you can view on the DVD. I agree it was good to see Kathleen Robertson....which I remember from 90210 and the film Blown Away (Im a Corey Haim nut) and also Tori Spelling which I thought was hysterical in this. The cameo with James Woods at the first of the film was classic as well.

In the name of love Zara how could you give this film 4 stars!

But maybe it's a Tori Spelling thing.
