Movie Review by Zara
March 15th, 2007

Blah

I actually thought that this movie might be interesting. Being a fan of hair metal from back in the day, including Judas Priest, the band that this movie is loosely based on, I figured they would at least capture the spirit of those days.

I suppose they could have, if the spirit was to be ugly and disturbing. Hell, I'm no angel and I know that people were doing raucous things during those days, but dammit! I've watched the concert films! They were at least having fun. Throughout most of the behind the scenes stuff it all looks like hearts were being broken and souls were being sold. There's no magic here. Just some bullsh*t cautionary tale.

Wahlberg has quite possibly one of the worst wigs that I have ever seen and it was painful to watch him try and flip it about just like a guy who's never had long hair would. Jennifer Aniston is at her very worst here, casting the shadow of doubt that I had on her to do anything outside of comedy (and her range in that is pitiful as well.)

This is a horrible movie. I think the only way that it gets worse is GIGLI.
