A little too weird

-- Note to self: Perhaps I should start writing 3 sentence movie reviews, eh? --

I'm not entirely sure who this movie was supposed to appeal to. I can take a stab at it and guess that it was meant for kids since there was a subsequent cartoon created on day time TV for children to watch, but frankly, the story line about an infectious disease about to kill a girl's father seems a little over the top for kids.

Bill Murray is the patsy and disease infested father. While the idea of watching germs floating around in his body in animated form was actually a novel idea, you also have to remember that it's um... GERMS FLOATING AROUND IN HIS BODY. How gross do you have to be to actually find something like that entertaining?

If the animation were better, maybe more of the movie could have been forgivable. If the dialog wasn't so cheesy, maybe the scenes with the live actors could have been more believable. I'm surprised that my kid decided she liked this movie since it bored the pants off of me in one moment and then grossed them out in the next.

An interesting concept completely gone awry.
