Movie Review by Ron June 17th, 2007

The story of a struggling all girl pop punk band that suddenly become an overnight sensation. In reality it is much more than that. It is a satire on teen culture and how adults try to manipulate them into buying everything. It is more a movie about commercialism than Josie and the pu**ycats. It seems like they just used those characters because they were already a somewhat known commodity. If they didn't base the movie on the Josie comics maybe they would have had more freedom with the script. And it could have been a classic.
But, it is what it is and I still love it! The soundtrack is pretty good too. That is if you like over produced bubble gum punk. The Du'jour songs are especially funny.
Bottom Line: This is a fun movie that makes you think.
