Winslet and Dench

A very good film about the life of novelist Iris Murdoch (Kate Winslet as the younger Iris, Judi Dench as the older) following her from her young inspired days to the maddening loss of memory due to Alzheimer's.

Dench and Winslet are two of the best actresses working and to see them both encompass very different sides of this woman is a great experience.

A good, sometimes slow, film about artistry and female achievement.
