What happened to Thora Birch, as a child actress she was cute, witty and full of pep.....then she grew a pair of t*ts and turned into a drab melancholy individual.
Thora Birch dons a very bad English accent to play the role of 'Liz Dunn' a manipulative teenager with a serious infatuation 'Mike Steel' the son of a rock star played by Desmond Harrington.
The setting is a rather posh private school in England, Liz Dunn and her friend Franky played by Keira Knightly, decide to skip out on a school trip and opt instead to spend a few days in an abandoned bomb shelter with Franky's fella and Liz's love interest........Their little sexually motivated trip goes all pear shape when the foursome find themselves locked in.
This was Keira's first big role and I thought she did an ok job, Birch however got on my t*ts a little, I have a huge problem with bad English accents and she always seemed to look bored.
As a whole the movie was entertaining but nothing to write home about.

| You know, I've got this in my Netflix queue. I keep meaning to bump it up and then end up wanting to watch something different. |

I was really jazzed by the first half of this movie...but then the second half sucked canal water. *shrug*
I think it's funny how Birch got all the attention in Ghost World, yet it's Scarlett who ended up with the career. |
