Better than the first
I liked this movie more than I thought I would since the first installment with Murphy just irritated me. This time they've got some better actors doing the voices of the animals. Oh, and they've got bears! Who can deny the adorable bear?
The plot is stupid, one about land developers trying to take over a forest area (yeah, like we haven't seen that before) and all of the problems are solved too easily, but the addition of Raven getting older and wanting a boyfriend is cute.
The other big plus is that Steve Zhan is great for this line of work. I really wish he did more voice acting since he's one of the few people out there who is truly expressive with his voice. Lisa Kudrow doing the voice of the female bear and Michael Rappaport as the raccoon who works for the beaver, the mafia boss of the forest are also great.
Yes, it is silly and yes, it is a little simple. But if I have to sit through some family movie with my daughter, I don't mind this one.
