The Cat's Meow (2001)

Great Guess
A very cool and interesting guess at what might have happened aboard William Randolph Hearst's yacht during a boating party when a murder happened.
Edward Herrmann is great as the flawed and childlike Hearst who doesn't know when to trust and when to question, he is owned and betrayed by his love for Marion Davies (Kirsten Dunst).
Dunst and Eddie Izzard as Charlie Chaplin play brilliantly off one another. She is up to the task of such a complex and lovelorn woman who just wants to please everyone, but cannot forget her love for the devious Chaplin.
The boat is filled with so many characters and motives, it could be an Agatha Christie novel, but the fact that it could all be true makes it all the more fascinating.
