America's Sweethearts (2001)

Lame Hollywood Satire
A boring and predictable film about fame that tries to convince us that Julia Roberts is a wallflower.
Catherine Zeta-Jones plays completely over the top as Roberts' famous sister and she begins to grate on the nerves very early on. John Cusack gets sucked into the background and does his best to make the movie not complete garbage. Billy Crystal makes lame jokes and tries to appease Roberts. Roberts herself makes jokes about being previously fat which are about as funny as when Courtney Cox-Arquette did them on 'Friends'.
A lame attempt to cash in on a big cast.
