Movie Review by Terrence
May 11th, 2007

Probably the most misunderstood and underated film

A.I. as directed by Steven Spielberg 20 or 30 years from now has the chance go down has one of the greatest films ever, if not one of the most underrated.

This movie must be judged on its on merits without bringing any preconcieved "I hate Spielberg" or "I hate Kubric" prejudice into the viewing.

Staring Haley Joel Osmet it is the story of an android boy named David who is created for a couple whose boy is in stasis (frozen) until a cure for his disease can be found. David becomes apart of the families life almost like a son until the real son returns and David is displaced.

Davids journey and the film journey after this is one of mind-bending and surreal questions.

The journey this film takes you on if you are open to it, is an unforgetable one.

Spielberg will probably never direct a film so far removed from his usual fair ever again.

And thats to bad.

This movie was SO SAD!! I can't believe the mother abandoned him just because the other kid got better.

That was very conflicting with me too. But it reminded me of the way some people treat there pets. People are inheritly sweet and cruel all at the same time.

See it again. I will almost bet you it will be better. Then give it a day or two and watch it again.
