Movie Review by Zara
March 14th, 2007

Ah, Ben

I ended up watching this movie during my Vin Diesel obsession, hoping to get more of a look at what he could do. While not the lead character (oddly enough that distinction goes to Giovanni Ribisi) he does get a chance to... um... act.

But that's not what this movie is all about. This movie is about one person. And if I might say oddly enough again, this time it's Ben Affleck. Ben had just started getting into the whole heartthrob bullsh*t, grinning from ear to ear with his pearly white caps. In the start of his career, he'd played the a**holes and he'd played them well. For this movie, he returned (albeit briefly) to form.

If this movie is remember for anything, it's for the lines and the power with which Affleck delivered them.

"They say money can't buy happiness? Look at the f*cking smile on my face. Ear to ear, baby."

"Anybody who tells you money is the root of all evil doesn't f*cking have any."

"There's an important phrase that we use here, and think it's time that you all learned it. Act as if. You understand what that means? Act as if you are the f*cking President of this firm. Act as if you got a 9" c*ck. Okay? Act as if."

I love that last bit. "Act AS IF."

Come on, Ben. Go back to playing the a**holes. You can do it for us. Act as if.
