Movie Review by Zara
December 13th, 2007

Warning: This is not some happy Smith movie where vulgar things are done and said and everyone gets a little chuckle out of it in the end. There are hints of the Smith-icities, but this is a very dark and morally depressing story.

That is, if we're supposed to learn a moral lesson from this. A nice guy who's down on his luck, trying to take care of his mother and pay her nursing home bill (unsuccessfully) and getting verbally and physically abused by her for it, thinks up what is supposed to be a funny risque little side job. Dressing up as a clown in a bustier for bachelor parties.

Which seems cute until his first party is a father and his two hillbillie-esque sons waiting there to abuse and rape him.

I think that the movie benefits from its ties to Smith and the aura that sinks in around films that he and his friends have made. It is also the best performance that I've seen O'Halloran give. But great fruck almighty, it is depressing.

Heard a lot about this one. Definitely not your typical Kevin Smith movie! Thanks for the review!
