Movie Review by Tim
February 1st, 2007

Shanghai'D my time I have watched this so much!

If you read my profile you will see that the person I think most relates to me from any film is Owen Wilson's character of Roy O'Bannon from Shanghai Noon. Now let me make myself clear before you get the wrong idea. I am not a huge Owen Wilson fan or Jackie Chan fan. Something about this movie just really entertains me everytime I see it and I have pathetically viewed this film over 50 times.

The film is a perfect mixture of comedy, action, and great dialogue. Jackie Chan shows off that he is not just good for stunts and karate kicks but that he can actually make you feel sympathy for a character and believe him as an actor. Owen Wilson does great as well being the biggest Wuss of a cowboy gunslinger ever but also being a decent con man. I can not explain why I think so highly of this film but It truly is one of my favorites.

The best scene is when Roy takes Chon through his version of Cowboy school which of course he is a terrible cowboy so it is really comical. I would recommend watching this one again if you didn't like it the first time......I think it will grow on you.

The chemistry between Wilson and Chan is better than between Chan and Tucker. However, the sequel to this is just pure crap fueled solely by trying to make more money.
