Movie Review by Misty
February 23rd, 2007

One of my absolute favorite inspirational flicks!

I love the inspiration in this movie. I'm usually not into that old sports inspirational type of Black vs. White crap from back in the day, but this movie touches me each and everytime I watch it...and believe me, I've watched it several times! After having said that, I think there have been waaay too many of these kinds of movies made that were crap, but not this one. I guess it's because this, along with Rudy, was one of the first of these kinds of flicks and the actors are priceless in their roles.

Small town in the South working through the Segregation issues that are still happening in the 1970's, when a pretty good highschool football team of white boys has to learn to deal with a new Black coach, as well as, new black team mates. You know the story...they fight and the coach yells at them and they end up comming together in the end, right? Well, it is that kind of story, but the things they go through together and the way they learn to deal with each other and care for each other is amazing! I'd be a fool not to recommend this movie to men, women, and kids alike! I loved it and I hope you'll give it a chance to get into your heart the way it has gotten into mine.

OK, do you cry at the end when the fat dumb kid gets into college?
