Movie Review by Misty
February 7th, 2007

I don't want FOP! I'm a Dapper Dan man!

Now, if you haven't seen this flick you'll be scratchin' your head about the title of my review. It's a line from the movie. George Clooney is hysterical as Everett or Ulysses Everett McGill as he introduces himself. This quick tongued intellectual chain gang escapee is on his way to uncover some riches he's hidden before they flood the land he hid it on and make a huge river. Only problem is he's still chained to some of his fellow chain gang mates: a quick tempered man named Pete and just about the dumbest guy named Delmar.

They set out on an adventure of running from the law where they see many unusual things and meet many strange people like the one-eyed bible salesman (John Goodman). It's hilarious some of the crazy things they get themselves into and surprisingly out of. It's kind of an old timey type of movie with lots of blues-y and bluegrass types of music. It's a fun flick and I definitely recommend it to comedy fans!

A different, but great role for Clooney. I've watched this movie a few times and laugh everytime I see it.
